Hello!
I am Cassandra Pickett
About Me
Hi, I’m Cassandra Pickett—a Certified Clini-Coach™, licensed therapist, and strategist dedicated to helping high-achievers harmonize their professional success with enriching personal lives. With over 13 years of experience, I specialize in guiding individuals to enhance their relationships—be it with a partner, their children, or themselves—ensuring personal fulfillment aligns seamlessly with career aspirations.
My Journey
From an early age, I was captivated by the interplay between mind and movement. This fascination led me to double major in dance and psychology during college—a combination that earned me the affectionate nickname "the psychotic dancer" as I dashed between studios and lecture halls. This unique blend of disciplines instilled in me a profound understanding of the connection between physical expression and mental well-being.
My commitment to fostering inclusive communities took root in my hometown, where I founded an equality center to support LGBTQ+ individuals and families. We organized the area's inaugural Pride parade and established the first support group for transgender teens and their parents, milestones that remain close to my heart.
Before embarking on my professional journey, I was part of a state-winning drill team that performed on unicycles—a testament to the power of balance, coordination, and teamwork. The discipline and resilience I cultivated during those years continue to inform my approach to therapy and coaching.
Professional Background
I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, which has provided me with a solid foundation in understanding the complexities of human relationships and individual well-being. Over the past 13 years, I've applied this knowledge across diverse settings, including my own private practice, where I had the privilege of guiding individuals, couples, and families toward healthier dynamics. Additionally, my role as a mobile therapist in Norristown, PA, taught me the importance of adaptability, as I conducted sessions in various environments—from backyards to living rooms—ensuring that therapy was accessible to those in need. These experiences have honed my ability to connect with clients from all walks of life, addressing challenges unique to high-achievers striving for balance between their personal and professional spheres.
My Approach
In our sessions, I listen deeply to your story, attuned to identifying patterns and blind spots that may be keeping you stuck. This attentive approach allows us to uncover insights that pave the way for meaningful change.
I practice with empathy and without judgment, creating a safe space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to empower you to become your own catalyst for change, guiding you through the process efficiently. I embrace the philosophy of working myself out of a job as quickly as possible, reflecting my commitment to your autonomy and progress.
Drawing from my extensive experience as a clinical therapist, I emphasize actionable strategies and personal accountability. I stand by you as both a supportive coach and an enthusiastic cheerleader, ensuring that you leave each session with a clear path toward positive transformation.
Together, we'll harness your strengths and resources to create the fulfilling life you envision, moving swiftly from insight to action
Entrepreneurial Experience
My journey as an entrepreneur has been integral to my development as a therapist and coach. Establishing and managing my own private therapy practice provided me with firsthand insight into the challenges and rewards of building a business from the ground up. This experience deepened my empathy for clients navigating high-pressure careers and entrepreneurial ventures, as I understand the complexities of balancing professional ambitions with personal well-being.
In addition to my private practice, I founded an equality center in my hometown to support LGBTQ+ individuals and families. This initiative led to organizing the area's inaugural Pride parade and establishing the first support group for transgender teens and their parents. These endeavors reflect my commitment to fostering inclusive communities and advocating for marginalized voices.
These entrepreneurial ventures have enriched my perspective, enabling me to offer nuanced guidance to clients striving for success in both their personal and professional lives.
Off the Clock
Beyond my professional life, I am a fortunate mother to two vibrant, red-haired boys and have been married to the love of my life for 15 years. Our family life is a harmonious blend of chaos and joy, continually reminding me of the beauty in imperfection and the strength found in connection.
In addition to my roles as a mother and wife, I navigate life with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), which I manage through a combination of skills, dedicated effort, and medication. This personal journey has deepened my empathy and understanding, enriching my capacity to support others facing their own challenges.
These experiences shape not only who I am but also how I connect with and support those I work with.
